This was probably the most challenging commission I ever undertook. The night mood was not the easiest to convey but thanks to Karyn who bravely suggested me to start all over again I achieved a work which I can feel proud about. I loosely based the palette in the concept art of The Princess and the frog by Disney, during the balcony scene.

In this scene, the young boy has offended the girl (both 13) by suggesting that she cannot fill her corset gaining him a big well deserved slap. Later, realizing that he was out of place, and she is sad, he goes to try to fix things.

I used a parchment paper texture provided by Karyn.
